Applications are invited from those who have had their doctoral thesis in the fields of Philosophy, History or Literature and on a subject related to the study of non-religious ethics, Humanism or rationalism in Britain, examined in the last three years. Deadline for current application round: 31st March 2011. Applicants should download the application form (PDF) (can be printed back-to-back on a single sheet). Complete the form and return it together with:
Blackham Fellowships will last six months. At the end of the fellowship, a manuscript of the completed work must be submitted to the Blackham Fellowship committee. If it is not, the Blackham Fellowships committee reserve the right to seek reimbursement of the grant. Payment of the grant will be in the form of £5,000 at the commencement of the first month of the fellowship and £5,000 at the commencement of the fourth month.
